All 6th-floor wellness facilities at Signiel Busan—including the fitness center, sauna, indoor pool, and outdoor pool—are located on the same level. When you step off the elevator on the 6th floor, you’ll see the front desk staff right away. Here, you verify your stay with your room key, provide the number of guests along with their ages and genders, and receive a wristband-style electronic locker key. Hotel guests enjoy complimentary access to the fitness center, swimming pools, and locker rooms. The locker rooms are separated by gender.

Inside the locker room, you’ll find shower booths, restrooms, and swimsuit dryers. After removing your shoes, carry them in with you. Locate the locker number printed on your wristband key, tap the key against the lock, and it will automatically unlock. Proper etiquette is to shower and change into your swimsuit here before entering the pool. While the locker rooms are very clean, they are shared facilities—so if you prefer more privacy or convenience, you can shower and change into your swimsuit inside your guestroom and head straight to the pool. My girlfriend prefers getting ready in the room, whereas I prefer using the locker room. Use whichever option suits you best.

After leaving the locker room, enter the indoor pool first. The indoor pool features a large swimming basin with two lanes, and a plunge pool beside it for warming up after extended swimming. Following the walkway that circles the indoor pool leads you directly outside to the outdoor pool.

The outdoor pool spans approximately 400 pyeong and is designed as an ocean-view infinity pool overlooking Haeundae Beach. Outdoor facilities include the Main Infinity Pool, Kids Pool, Plunge Pool, Sunlounger Zone, and Pool Bar. On the left side of the deck, you’ll also find paid options such as the Private Pool Cabana, View Cabana, and Sun Lounger sets. Note that sun loungers are charged only during peak season (July–August) and complimentary during the rest of the year. There are five in-water loungers inside the Main Infinity Pool and twelve around the pool’s perimeter. On the right side, near the Pool Bar, there are twenty-five additional sun loungers and six booths that can each seat up to eight people.

Upon entering the outdoor pool, locate an available sun lounger and place your beach towels, robes, or bags to reserve your spot. A swim cap is required for the Main Infinity Pool; however, for the outdoor section, caps or regular baseball caps are permitted. If you don’t have one, you can purchase a swim cap at the fitness front desk.

Although the Main Infinity Pool is large, it tends to get very busy, so it’s not ideal for serious lap swimming. Instead, it’s a spot to relax in the water, take in the panoramic Haeundae Beach views, capture memorable photos with loved ones, and enjoy a leisurely pool day.

The outdoor pool operates with scheduled break times and routine water-quality maintenance. For cleaning, a suction device is placed on the bottom of the Main Infinity Pool to remove settled debris, while staff manually skim floating debris from the surface. As you may know, hotel pools are not drained and refilled daily. Full basin cleaning typically occurs once per season, and the water is kept sanitary through continuous chemical treatment and regular maintenance.

During the outdoor pool’s maintenance breaks, it’s a good time to visit the restroom, rehydrate with a drink, or simply relax on a sun lounger. You can also do what we did—head to the Pool Bar on the right side of the Main Infinity Pool and enjoy a cold draft beer or a cocktail. The Pool Bar offers a selection of beverages, snacks, and light alcoholic options at reasonable prices. Sitting in one of the bar’s booths with a panoramic ocean view while sipping something refreshing truly delivers that classic luxury-staycation feeling.

Haeundae has long been known as a hot-spring resort area. Although redevelopment has transformed the district into a sleek, modern waterfront neighborhood, the wide sandy beach and deep blue coastline remain just as beautiful, giving visitors a genuine resort-style atmosphere.

During the peak summer season, most guests head to the outdoor pool right after checking in. When the pool’s maintenance break overlaps with dinner time, the crowd thins out and the atmosphere becomes much more relaxed. If you prefer a quieter experience, plan your pool time opposite of the typical guest routine. Since the standard checkout time at Signiel Busan is 11 a.m., visiting the pool around 9 a.m. after breakfast is usually calm. Or, enjoy an early dinner and return for night swimming from around 6 p.m. until closing—a great way to experience the pool in a more serene setting.

Another option is to visit during the off-season. In spring, especially through April, the weather is still cool, so the pool is rarely crowded. This is when you can sometimes enjoy the Main Infinity Pool almost entirely to yourself, swimming a relaxed head-up breaststroke at your own pace. I’ve often spent spring dates at Signiel Busan, and each time, I could watch my girlfriend enjoying a peaceful swim in the infinity pool right from our guestroom terrace.

As you might expect, many women visiting a hotel pool are less focused on swimming and more interested in capturing great photos in their favorite swimwear for Instagram. Around the Main Infinity Pool, you’ll often see men bent at every possible angle, doing their best to take the most flattering shots of their girlfriends.

I’ve stayed at Signiel Busan with around ten different partners over the years, and all of them had their own expectations and sense of romance about five-star hotel pools. They wanted memorable photos and videos—something they could keep for a lifetime. Since Signiel Busan’s outdoor pool is a well-known spot frequently visited by Korean celebrities and influencers, most guests put real effort into posing until they get that perfect, once-in-a-lifetime shot. Watching this scene is both entertaining and a reminder of how the desire for social approval can translate into real commercial value.

One thing is clear: I’ve never met a woman who disliked Signiel Busan’s outdoor pool. It’s a dream destination for many Korean women, and spending time here on a date often brings couples closer and creates genuinely meaningful memories.

    Final Verdict

Signiel Busan offers one of the most premium pool experiences in Korea, thanks to its panoramic Haeundae ocean views, a beautifully designed infinity pool, well-maintained water quality, and seamless integration of indoor and outdoor facilities. Whether you’re visiting during peak season or the quieter spring months, the atmosphere consistently delivers that upscale, resort-style comfort guests expect from a five-star property. The combination of attentive maintenance, thoughtful zoning, and polished service makes these pools a standout feature of the hotel.

💡 Pro Tip: To experience the infinity pool with maximum privacy and the best lighting for photos, plan a morning visit right after breakfast or arrive early for night swimming starting around 6 p.m. If you prefer an even more peaceful setting, visit during spring—March or April—when the cooler weather keeps crowds away and the infinity pool feels almost entirely yours.
