On the 5th floor of Signiel Busan Hotel, there are two dining venues: Chao Lan, a fine-dining Chinese restaurant, and The View, the hotel’s premium seafood buffet. Among the two, The View is particularly popular, attracting many guests even if they are not staying at the hotel. For this reason, it’s highly recommended to make a reservation in advance rather than attempting a walk-in visit. Personally, whenever I stay at Signiel Busan, I usually enjoy both breakfast and dinner at The View, so I always reserve my table ahead of time. After taking the elevator to the 5th floor, you walk toward The View’s entrance, where staff warmly greet you, confirm your reservation, and guide you to your table with attentive service.

In reality, there are plenty of restaurants around Signiel Busan. You can walk to the sashimi houses in the Mipo Harbor district, the dining streets around Paradise Hotel next door, the Haeundae Traditional Market and Gunam-ro area near Haeundae-gu Office, the commercial zone around Jung-dong Station on Subway Line 2, the trendy Haeundae Haeridan-gil near Haeundae Station, the upscale Marine City at the west end of Haeundae Beach, and even Centum City, home to luxury malls and the BEXCO convention center. If you’re willing to move around, you can go anywhere.

However, most of Korea’s top-rated restaurants are concentrated in Seoul, and there aren’t many distinctive spots in Busan that truly stand out on a national level. Plus, when you’re staying at a five-star luxury hotel with family or a partner, heading outside for dinner can feel inconvenient and like a waste of precious time.

That’s why, whenever my girlfriend and I stay at Signiel Busan, we almost always dine at The View. It allows us to enjoy exceptionally fresh sashimi, sushi, and seafood prepared by master chefs—using premium, carefully selected ingredients—without ever leaving the comfort of the hotel. Paired with the sweeping ocean views and the calm, refined ambiance, it’s a dining experience that consistently feels effortless and deeply satisfying.

I always make my dinner reservations at The View by calling directly from the in-room phone at Signiel Busan. During the call, I check whether the restaurant is busy that evening and ask if a window table might be available. On my very first visit, the restaurant was packed, so I couldn’t get a window seat. But from the second visit onward, I was assigned a window table every time.

There were a few occasions when I was initially seated at a two-top instead of a four-top. Even without requesting a change, the staff would proactively move us to a four-seat table as soon as one opened up. The larger table made the dining experience noticeably more comfortable and spacious compared to the smaller setup.

The service at The View is consistently excellent. The staff are attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely warm, which elevates the entire dining experience.

The View’s dinner lineup is presented in a full gala-style spread, with every station generously stocked. Nothing ever feels lacking. The grill station, seafood corner, sashimi and sushi bar, and dessert section are the real standouts—each one consistently delivers top-tier quality.

If you’ve never had proper Korean-style yukhoe during your visit to Korea, The View is an excellent place to try it. They prepare it with premium-grade Korean Hanwoo beef, and the flavor and texture are exceptional.

We always start dinner with their mushroom soup as an appetizer, then move on to our favorites from the grill: lamb chops, steak, and grilled lobster. Because the dinner selection is extensive, it’s impossible to try everything in one seating, so we usually focus on our must-have dishes and pair them with a good bottle of wine. The grilled items, with their subtle smoky aroma, are not only satisfying entrées but also perfect wine pairings.

You can tell a lot from where The View places its wine chiller. After selecting a bottle from the wine list, the staff always sets the stainless-steel bucket at a distance from the table rather than right beside us. This placement is intentional—it keeps the service path clear so the team can monitor our glasses and refill them before they’re even close to empty.

It’s a sharp contrast to certain restaurants where the staff pours the first serving and then leaves you to handle the rest on your own. At The View, that never happens. The service is consistently attentive, and the staff handles wine service with genuine professionalism and courtesy.

When I go on a date with my girlfriend, I usually choose one of three rosé champagnes: Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial, Taittinger Prestige Rosé Brut, or Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé. The soft pink hue and lively bubbles are visually charming, and the crisp, popping sensation on the palate makes the experience even better. My girlfriend isn’t a strong drinker, but she enjoys rosé champagne because it feels lighter and less intimidating than other alcoholic drinks, helping us ease into the mood and enjoy the moment together.

Rosé champagne, however, isn’t universally loved by experts. Because it gets its color from blending in a portion of red wine, it can carry firmer tannins and a slightly heavier, less balanced character compared to traditional brut champagnes. Still, few drinks elevate a date with such graceful, romantic flair. Rosé champagne has a special way of softening the atmosphere and adding a touch of elegance to the evening.

At The View, the premium seafood buffet at Signiel Busan, you can often enjoy rosé champagne at a discounted promotional price, making it an excellent choice for enhancing a dinner date with both sophistication and value.

Most guests kept their main meal light because there’s a separate coffee station and an extensive dessert selection, making it natural to enjoy a long, relaxed tea time afterward. The crowd leaned more toward families than corporate groups. And since Haeundae is packed with restaurants and sashimi spots, The View never feels overwhelmingly crowded. That’s exactly why the atmosphere stays calm and enjoyable. If you need a private dining room, advance reservations are essential. I personally chose the main hall each time because I wanted to experience the full ambiance.

The standout dishes at The View’s dinner service are the steak, lobster, lamb chops, and scallops. It’s also an excellent spot for coffee and desserts, and the wine list is genuinely impressive—better than many five-star hotel buffets in Seoul. If you’re staying multiple nights, I strongly recommend booking The View for dinner as well as Chaoran in advance.

Service is exceptional. Staff members constantly check on tables without being intrusive, ensuring wine glasses never sit empty. They were so attentive that they even offered to take commemorative photos without us asking. Staying at Signiel Busan is the best way to understand what true five-star hospitality feels like. The staff left an even stronger impression than the ocean view, and thanks to them, we had a genuinely comfortable and memorable experience.

    Final Verdict

The View delivers one of the most polished dinner experiences in Busan. Premium dishes, a strong wine program, and a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere set it apart from typical Haeundae dining options. Combined with Signiel-level service—attentive, warm, and consistently proactive—this restaurant easily surpasses many five-star hotel buffets in Seoul. If you want a calm, luxurious evening backed by exceptional staff, The View is absolutely worth booking.

💡 Pro Tip: Reserve both The View dinner and Chaoran before your stay, especially on weekends or during peak season. If you enjoy extended tea time, keep your main meal light and save room for the excellent dessert and coffee selection.
