Salon de Signiel is the club lounge at Signiel Busan, located on the 8th floor of the hotel. Conceptually, it is comparable to an Executive Lounge at Marriott-branded hotels. Unlike many luxury hotel lounges, access is complimentary for all in-house guests, regardless of room category, and includes unlimited food and beverage offerings.

Lounge access is granted based on the room’s maximum occupancy. Guests staying in a room with a standard occupancy of two may admit up to two people free of charge, while rooms with a maximum occupancy of three allow up to three complimentary guests. If you wish to bring additional visitors beyond the registered occupancy, an extra fee of approximately KRW 30,000–50,000 per person applies.

During Refreshments Hour (7:00 AM–10:00 AM, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM), the lounge serves coffee, tea, juices, sparkling water, soft drinks, and light snacks such as cookies—ideal for a quiet break between activities. In the evening, Evening Delights (Happy Hour) runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, featuring four selections of sparkling wine alongside light snacks including chips, cookies, and nuts.

Salon de Signiel is divided into two distinct zones. The Family Lounge welcomes guests of all ages and is designed with a more open, relaxed layout, making it noticeably more comfortable during the daytime. The Business Lounge, accessible to guests aged 13 and above, offers a calmer, more refined setting better suited for the evening champagne hour.

For the best experience, I recommend using the Family Lounge during the day for coffee and light refreshments, and switching to the Business Lounge in the evening to fully enjoy the sparkling wine service. Detailed menus are outlined below.

🍪☕️🧃🍵🫖 During Refreshments Hour, Salon de Signiel at Signiel Busan offers two signature house coffee beans that stand out even by luxury hotel lounge standards. “Signiel 79” delivers a soft, smooth mouthfeel with a well-balanced profile highlighted by gentle plum-like sweetness. “Signiel 123,” by contrast, leans more complex, showcasing the aroma of well-aged wine, caramelized sweetness, and a bright apricot acidity.

The lounge uses the Egro One Keypad Pure Coffee, a fully automatic professional coffee machine. With a single touch, it consistently produces everything from espresso to well-textured lattes with impressive precision, ensuring stable quality throughout the day.

For tea lovers, guests can choose from the Dammann Frères tea bag selection, a French luxury tea house with more than 320 years of history. Among the highlights is Jardin Bleu, one of Dammann Frères’ most iconic blends. Meaning “Blue Garden,” this flavored black tea combines natural rhubarb notes, sweet strawberry aromas, and refined black tea, making it universally appealing across all ages.

Another standout is Goût Russe Douchka, a fragrant black tea defined by its fresh, vibrant orange aroma. Originally created in 1950 by Jean Jumeau-Lafond for his wife, this blend is widely credited with reigniting modern flavored tea culture and has remained beloved for decades. It pairs exceptionally well with sweet desserts.

Paul & Virginie, named after the 1787 French novel by Bernardin de Saint-Pierre, is a signature Dammann Frères blend that layers black tea with caramel, raspberry, cherry, vanilla, and red currant aromas. The result is a rich, dessert-forward flavored tea with remarkable depth.

Completing the refreshments lineup is the Signiel Shortbread, the lounge’s signature cookie. Both in appearance and texture, it closely resembles traditional Scottish shortbread. The crumbly, slightly dry texture makes it especially enjoyable when paired with coffee or tea, allowing the flavors to fully open while enhancing the overall mouthfeel.

Altogether, the Refreshments Hour at Salon de Signiel feels thoughtfully curated rather than perfunctory, offering a level of beverage and snack quality that meaningfully elevates the club lounge experience.

🥂🍾 During Evening Delights (Happy Hour), Salon de Signiel offers alcoholic beverages. As of 2025, the lineup consists of four sparkling wines:
    • Pommery Brut Royal (refined and elegant; unmistakably Champagne)
    • La Felice Carlisa Moscato Spumante (sweet, dessert-style sparkling wine)
    • Marqués de Laredo Brut (clean and crisp sparkling wine)
    • Lambrusco Rosso Amabile (notable red cherry aromas; quietly very popular)
Among these, Pommery Brut Royal is the only true Champagne. (The sparkling wine selection is subject to change depending on the season and hotel circumstances.)

In the past, the lounge also served red wine and beer, and Champagne was Taittinger Réserve Brut. However, as part of cost optimization, all other alcoholic options were removed, and the Champagne selection was switched to the more affordable Pommery Brut Royal. That said, Pommery Brut Royal remains a well-regarded Champagne and is more than respectable in terms of quality.

Most importantly, during Evening Delights, sparkling wine is available with unlimited refills, which is a key highlight of this lounge experience.

What differentiates Salon de Signiel from many other five-star hotel lounges is that it does not offer a meal-level semi-buffet. There are no hot dishes or elaborate desserts such as cakes. Instead, the focus is strictly on finger foods—light snacks, seasonal fruits, cheese, and nuts. This may feel somewhat minimal compared to other luxury hotel happy hours.

That said, while the food pairing options for a Champagne like Pommery Brut Royal are limited to light snacks, nuts, fruit, and cheese, the setup is still perfectly sufficient for enjoying a relaxed, elegant evening drink with your travel companion. The emphasis here is clearly on atmosphere and effortless indulgence rather than a full dinner substitute.

From Suseo Station in Gangnam, Seoul, it takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes by SRT to reach Busan Station. From there, a taxi ride to Signiel Busan in Haeundae can take up to 40 minutes when traffic is heavy. On weekends, public holidays, and during the summer peak season, check-in lines are often long, so the total travel time from Seoul to the hotel easily exceeds three hours, which can be fairly exhausting.

For that reason, once I arrive at Signiel Busan and complete check-in, I usually ask the staff to send my suitcase and luggage directly to my room. With just my room key in hand, I head straight to Salon de Signiel on the 8th floor. After stepping out of the elevator, clear signage directs you toward Salon de Signiel. Follow the signs down the corridor, and you will find the lounge entrance, where the staff greets guests warmly.

At the entrance, your room stay is verified, you confirm the number of guests, and then select which lounge you would like to use. As mentioned earlier, Salon de Signiel is divided into two separate spaces: the Family Lounge and the Business Lounge. The Family Lounge feels more spacious and comfortable, but since it is open to all ages, it can sometimes be noisy if there are young children crying or running around. The Business Lounge is restricted to guests aged 13 and older, offering a calmer, more refined atmosphere, although the seating is more tightly arranged and can feel a bit cramped compared to the Family Lounge.

My recommendation is to first secure a window seat in the Family Lounge. If it becomes noisy due to families with children, you can always move to the Business Lounge for a quieter experience.

Salon de Signiel operates from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During the daytime Refreshments hours (7:00 AM–10:00 AM and 2:00 PM–4:00 PM), a variety of light snacks, seasonal fruits, and beverages are available. After checking in, arriving at Salon de Signiel empty-handed, sipping an iced Americano while gazing out over Haeundae Beach, is the moment when it finally feels like you have truly arrived in Busan. Both body and mind begin to relax.

Coffee and tea are self-service. Beverages and snacks are served buffet-style, allowing you to take as much as you like back to your table. Making coffee is effortless—just press a button on the machine. Tea is equally simple: choose your preferred teabag and add hot water.

If you visit Salon de Signiel during the Refreshments hours, do not miss the Signiel shortbread, the lounge’s signature cookie. It is genuinely excellent and pairs perfectly with coffee or tea.

From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Salon de Signiel hosts its signature Evening Delights, a three-hour happy hour during which four varieties of sparkling wine and a selection of light snacks are offered on a complimentary, unlimited basis. Notably, the lineup includes Pommery Brut Royal, meaning guests can enjoy unlimited pours of a proper Champagne simply by visiting during this time.

Having stayed at Signiel Busan countless times, I have experienced Evening Delights on many occasions, enough to share a few practical insider tips that will be useful for first-time visitors. First, Evening Delights is available to all in-house guests, regardless of room category. Signiel Busan has a total of 260 guestrooms, each accommodating two to three guests, so on fully booked nights there can be close to 600 guests staying in the hotel.

By contrast, Salon de Signiel offers fewer than 100 seats in total. This creates an effective competition ratio of roughly 8:1, which explains why waiting times quickly build up once Evening Delights begins. For this reason, if you plan to use Evening Delights, I strongly recommend arriving at Salon de Signiel no later than 4:30 PM to secure a seat in advance.

It is also important to note that waitlist registration is only available on-site. If you are not admitted by 8:00 PM, you lose access entirely. In the past, when entry was not possible, the hotel occasionally offered a takeaway or in-room delivery of one bottle of Champagne as a consolation. This service has since been discontinued. In short, you must physically enter Salon de Signiel to enjoy Evening Delights.

There is no formal time limit once you are seated, which means many guests secure a good seat early and remain there until the end of the happy hour. Personally, we often opted for the corner sofa near the restrooms in the Business Lounge. Most guests prioritize window seats, so this corner area is surprisingly easy to secure and often remains available.

One of the clear advantages of Evening Delights is the ability to enjoy Champagne freely. On some visits, guests easily have three or four glasses without thinking twice. That said, the 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM window overlaps with dinner time, and spending the entire three hours drinking Champagne alone can feel a bit wasteful, especially since no hot food is provided.

For that reason, our usual approach was to stop by for about 15 minutes, enjoy a single glass of Pommery Brut Royal, and then head out for dinner. While the Champagne itself is excellent, Evening Delights is not designed to replace a proper meal. On the other hand, guests with lighter appetites or a genuine affection for sparkling wine will likely find these three hours thoroughly enjoyable and well worth their time.

    Final Verdict

Salon de Signiel’s Evening Delights stands out for one clear reason: unlimited complimentary Pommery Brut Royal in a calm, refined club-lounge setting. While it does not offer hot dishes or a full semi-buffet, the experience delivers exactly what it promises—elegant Champagne enjoyment with light snacks, thoughtful service, and a distinctly five-star atmosphere. For guests who value quality sparkling wine, relaxed pacing, and smart pre-dinner indulgence, this lounge is a meaningful part of the Signiel Busan stay rather than a simple hotel perk.

💡 Pro Tip: Arrive by 4:30 PM to secure a seat before the 5:00 PM start—seating is extremely limited compared to the number of in-house guests. If window seats are full, target the corner sofa near the Business Lounge restrooms, which is often overlooked. Enjoy one to two glasses, then head out for dinner; Evening Delights pairs best as a refined aperitif rather than a meal replacement.
