Signiel is a luxury hotel brand created by Lotte Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Hotel Lotte under the Lotte Group. Designed to deliver a new standard of luxury, the brand offers exceptional facilities, refined and elegant spaces, and highly personalized service. Rather than serving as a simple stopover for travel or business, Signiel positions itself as a destination in its own right—an experience where meaningful moments begin. Guests can enjoy serene and elegant guestrooms, world-class dining led by top culinary teams, and therapeutic spa programs that create a profound sense of relaxation. With heartfelt service and memorable moments that exceed expectations, Signiel aims to be a “once-in-a-lifetime” hotel guests genuinely want to return to. Signiel currently operates two landmark properties in Korea: Signiel Seoul in the Lotte World Tower—the tallest building in Seoul—and Signiel Busan in the LCT Landmark Tower, the tallest building in Busan.
The LCT development traces its origins to the mid-1990s, when the city of Busan proposed a “Marine Hot Spring District Development Project” on a 29,000-square-meter military site owned by the Ministry of National Defense. Although the initial plan was shelved due to limited economic feasibility, regulatory easing by the Korean government in 2005 allowed the project to expand. The development area grew to 65,934 square meters by incorporating the former Pale de CZ site (21,000㎡) and the former Korea Condo site (15,934㎡), ultimately relaunched as the “Haeundae Tourism Resort Development Project.” Busan Urban Corporation sold the designated land to the private developer LCT PFV, and after a long and complex process, the project was finally completed in 2019.

LCT is a large mixed-use complex with five basement floors and 101 above-ground floors. It consists of three primary towers—two 85-story residential towers (Tower A and Tower B) and one 101-story Landmark Tower—set on a podium structure. Positioned directly in front of Haeundae Beach, it stands as one of the most striking silhouettes in the city. The 101-story Landmark Tower, originally slated to house a Shilla Hotel, was ultimately secured by Lotte and opened as Signiel Busan.
Signiel Busan occupies floors 3 through 19 of the Landmark Tower, located in Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan. As the second Signiel property following Signiel Seoul, it features 260 guestrooms (219 standard rooms and 41 suites) designed by the world-renowned interior design group HBA. Nearly all rooms offer balconies with panoramic views of Haeundae Beach and the Gwangan Bridge. The hotel provides excellent accessibility from Jung-dong and Haeundae subway stations, with major local attractions—Haeundae Beach, Mipo Port, Dalmaji Hill, and Haeundae Rodeo Street—located nearby.
On the 6th floor, the Fitness & Spa area features an approximately 400-pyeong outdoor pool deck with an oceanfront infinity pool, private cabanas, and a range of leisure amenities overlooking Haeundae’s signature seascape. Additional facilities, including the guests-only garden terrace, offer an elevated level of comfort and exclusivity rarely seen in Busan. On the 8th floor, the guest-exclusive “Salon de Signiel” provides all-day refreshments throughout the stay. The infinity pool with dynamic ocean views, the luxurious Chantecaille spa, and an array of curated recreational spaces come together to deliver a refined, distinctive luxury experience that sets a new benchmark for Busan.

The 2022 South Korean film Decibel stars Kim Rae-won and Lee Jong-seok, with supporting roles by Jung Sang-hoon and Park Byung-eun, and a special appearance by Cha Eun-woo (member of the K-pop boy group ASTRO). The film’s premise revolves around bombs equipped with decibel-triggered sensors that detonate when a certain noise threshold is exceeded. A former naval commander, a journalist, and officers from the South Korean Defense Counterintelligence Command team up to prevent a series of urban bomb attacks. Signiel Busan Hotel serves as the key location where the film’s central events unfold.
How to Get to Signiel Busan
When traveling from Seoul to Busan, you have three main public-transportation options: express buses (departing from the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal), high-speed rail (KTX from Seoul Station or SRT from Suseo Station), and flights (Gimpo International Airport to Gimhae International Airport).
However, the express bus takes roughly 4 hours and 30 minutes, and you’ll still need additional time to reach central Busan from the Busan Central Bus Terminal, which makes it the least convenient option. Most travelers choose high-speed rail.
• The SRT is the fastest and most convenient. Travel time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes, and the standard one-way fare for the Suseo–Busan route is KRW 52,600, but discounts of up to 50% can bring the fare below KRW 30,000, making it excellent value. Both SRT and KTX arrive at Busan Station. From Busan Station, you can take the subway to Jung-dong Station (Exit 7) and walk about 15 minutes to reach Signiel Busan. If you prefer the bus, take Bus 1003 from the Busan Station stop (03720) and get off at Mipo / Moontan Road Entrance (09019). From there, it’s an 8-minute walk to the hotel. By taxi, the ride takes about 45 minutes, and the fare is approximately KRW 23,000. A taxi is convenient if you’re traveling with luggage, as you can load it directly into the trunk and get dropped off at the main entrance, where the doormen will assist you.
• If you’re arriving via Gimhae International Airport, you can take the Taeyoung Airport Limousine Bus from the International Terminal (1F). The bus drops you off at Paradise Hotel, and from there it’s an easy 9-minute walk to Signiel Busan.
• For guests driving to the hotel, self-parking in the B1 underground parking garage is complimentary for one vehicle per room for the entire stay. If you prefer valet service, pull up to the main entrance via the hotel loop. Valet parking is KRW 30,000 per night.

Signiel Busan occupies the commercial podium floors—3 through 19—of the LCT Landmark Tower. Despite being housed in the building’s lower section, the hotel never feels low-rise. Its prime location directly facing Haeundae Beach, combined with the elevated podium structure, ensures that guestrooms and facilities offer impressive sightlines and a true luxury-hotel sense of elevation.
The underground parking garage is equipped with EV charging stations on every level.
The 6th-floor fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, and spa are all top-tier leisure facilities. The pool complex is especially popular, featuring both an indoor pool and an outdoor oceanfront pool. For detailed information, see the dedicated pool section below.
Located on the 8th floor, the guest-only club lounge, Salon de Signiel, is accessible to all Signiel Busan guests regardless of room type. Signiel Busan: Check-In Guide
![]() |
| A photo of the front desk at Signiel Busan Hotel (Image source: Screenshot from YouTube video) |
| Location | Front Desk, 3rd Floor |
| Standard check-in time | 3:00 PM |
| Early Check-In Policy | • Early check-in is generally available after 1:00 PM (additional charge applies per hour). • If the room was vacant the previous day, early check-in before 1:00 PM may be possible (additional charge applies per hour). |
| Check-in Requirements | • Guest’s valid ID (passport for international guests) • Credit or debit card for payment guarantee |
1. Required Documents: Present a valid photo ID (passport for international guests) and your reservation confirmation.
2. Assignment: Rooms are typically assigned by the front desk based on your reservation type, check-in time, and guest preferences (e.g., high floor, city view, non-smoking).
• Note: Once your room is assigned, the front desk will carefully review your printed reservation details, including guest information, room type, stay dates, and any packages or promotions applied. You will also receive guidance on hotel policies and procedures and be asked to sign a consent form confirming your agreement to the hotel’s terms of stay and its 100% non-smoking room policy. Occasionally, temporary inconveniences may occur due to events, filming, or maintenance, so to avoid or minimize any disruption during your stay, it is recommended to listen carefully to the front desk staff’s instructions and follow their guidance.
3. Parking Registration:
• Guests with vehicles can register 1 car per room for free parking during their stay.
• Show your license plate number to the front desk upon check-in.
4. Signing the consent form: After signing the consent form, you proceed with payment for the room. You can pay using the credit or debit card you provided earlier, a different card, a company or corporate card for business purposes, or cash. Regardless of the payment method, a receipt will always be issued. Once payment is complete, your passport and credit/debit card will be returned to you.
• If you’ve already prepaid through a third-party app such as Agoda, HotelsCombined, or Hotels.com, you can receive your room key immediately upon signing the consent form.
5. Key Collection: Receive your room key card after completing the check-in process.
6. Requesting in-room amenities:
If you have additional requests such as setting up a humidifier, installing an air purifier, arranging a baby crib, or attaching a baby guard (bed rail), make sure to request them with the front desk staff during the check-in process.
• If you didn’t mention certain requests during check-in, you can use the in-room phone to dial 0 and make your request over the call. However, please note that if the requested items are out of stock at that time, they may not be available for delivery or installation.
💡 Pro Tip: After completing check-in, you can take the elevator to your room. When tagging your key card, make sure to use only one card at a time—if multiple cards are stacked together in the card holder, the scanner may not recognize them properly. Also, note that RFID-issued key cards can occasionally malfunction if stored together with your smartphone. In such cases, simply visit the front desk to request a reissue of your key card.
Signiel Busan: Check-Out Guide
![]() |
| A photo of the roundabout in front of the hotel’s main lobby entrance (Image source: Screenshot from YouTube video) |
| Location | Front Desk, 3rd Floor |
| Standard check-Out time | 11:00 AM |
| Late Check-Out Policy | • The late check-out policy is as follows: a 30% surcharge of the regular room rate applies for check-outs until 3:00 PM, 50% for check-outs until 5:00 PM, and 100% for check-outs after 5:00 PM. • Advance reservation is required, and same-day requests may not be available depending on room occupancy. |
| Check-Out Requirements | • All room key cards issued at check-in • Credit or debit card for payment guarantee |
1. Check for any additional charges:
• Check-out involves clearing all personal belongings from the room and proceeding to the front desk on the 1st floor to return the room key(s) initially issued, along with any other rented items. If there are any additional charges, payment is settled at this time.
• Return your key card to the front desk staff, who will verify your room number and confirm any additional charges such as minibar use, restaurant bills, or late check-out fees.
• If your stay was prepaid through third-party platforms like Agoda, Hotels.com, or Booking.com, the staff will simply confirm your reservation details without any additional payment required. For bookings made directly through the LOTTE Hotels website or on-site, any remaining balance can be settled by credit card, corporate card, or cash, with a printed receipt provided for your records.
2. Luggage Storage Service: After check-out, guests can leave their luggage at the concierge desk on the same floor if they wish to explore the city before departure. The hotel staff will tag and store your bags safely for the day.
💡 Pro Tip: Weekends and Mondays tend to be peak check-out times (especially between 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM). To avoid long elevator waits and front desk lines, plan to check out a little earlier—around 09:30 AM—for a smoother departure.
